I’m a VIP user and I’m just starting to try to create subtitles for movies I own. I have one subtitle creator program for my Mac Mini (MacOS 26.3], but I am finding it is only about 10% effective in creating the text. The rest of the text I have to create by hand. What I wondering is, is there some reasonably priced software for Mac that will do a better job of creating subtitles? I don’t mind some tweaks, but 8 or more hours to hand code a single movie is a bit much. Or maybe I’m expecting too much?
I would try ai.opensubtitles.com and then use Subtitle Studio on Mac (or another software) to properly edit and correct those subtitles.
